I’m a size XL and I’m glad I purchased a L. I’m 5’10 225lbs size 40 waist. I love that it gives me support in my stomach area especially considering I had lipo and he sucked my back dry therefore I didn’t need any support in my back or butt area just my stomach. It’s very comfortable minus the straps but straps on all shareware etc digs in my skin because I’m tall and long.

Buyers, be prepared to buy a couple of sizes to find the fit you want.

I went with this shaper based on the price and reviews, and because the hem on the legs had no lace or frill. Based on the size chart I should be an XL-2XL (5'7", 37'B-35'W-47'H), but despite this product running "true to size", and people with similar measurements to me buying true to size or one size down, I decided to buy 1-2 sizes down and went with the Large. This doesn't hold in ANYTHING. It was more like putting on an old bathing suit than a piece of shapewear. And on top of that, the tummy panel should extend down a few more inches, maybe almost to the crotch. And the torso is also almost too short despite me being average height. I would like to try another size down but I wonder if it will be way too short. Since this shapewear is affordable and has pretty good reviews for the price, I'll try a Medium and maybe a Small.

Was hesitant about fit when I pulled it out as it looked small but it fits very well. This will smooth you out but because it has so much stretch I wouldn't quite call this a true 'shaper'. Perfect for everyday. Easy to sit with this on and the straps are a nice feature if you are concerned about a garment rolling down. I would agree that you could size down without problems if you are between sizes.

I’m 5’2 and 130 pounds, I ordered a small and the small was a little bit big specifically in the thigh area. It says it is seamless but I wore them on top of loose fitting sweat pants and you can see where the spanx end on the thigh. Also, using the bathroom is hard in this as you have to take off the whole thing. Asides from that it does what it says, it makes you nice and smooth.
